' GET UP STAND UP '

My song that relates to my topic issue is 'Get up Stand up' by Bob Marley. The summary of the song is the lyrics for the 1973 track were he and Peter Tosh had written the song at. Peter Tosh was also influenced by their Jamaican upbringing. The song is basically about the fight for acceptance of their Rastafarian religion and the need to take action to avoid "oppression" much of the inspiration appears to have come from another song ' slippin into Darkness' by war. The meaning behind the lyrics can be interpreted as both religious and anti religious depending on your point of view. "Get up, Stand up', Stand up for your rights" can be seen as a rallying call to stand up and demand respect for the Rastafarian religion. " Preacher man don't tell me, heaven is under the earth, I know you don't know, what life is really worth.

The major ways the poster can establish credibility is through the artistry of the photograph and the accuracy of the quote/ writing. The quote is well known, Marley's quote so the poster comes off as a credible. Bob Marley is on of the most famous and well liked artist in Jamaican history, his credibility established in now well liked the piece is. One of my famous quotes by Bob Marley is " How long must I protest the same thing?" asked Bob Marley in 1978. " I sing ' Get up Stand up' and up til now people don't get up, so must I sing ' Get up Stand up'? ....I want people to live big and have enough.
